DSRC Cordless Cap Lamp for Collision Avoidance Solutions
Reduce the risk of vehicle related accidents/injuries by deploying a V2X (Vehicle to Everything) CAS (Collision Avoidance System) solution. Roobuck supplies V2P (Vehicle to Pedestrian) compatible cordless cap lamps so that personnel are detected by vehicles before a collision occurs. Our cap lamps utilise 802.11p DSRC (Dedicated Short Range Communications) technology in conjunction with WiFi and BLE to enable integration into comprehensive V2X and tracking solutions.
Cordless Cap Lamps, Belt Tags, Portable Tags and Corded Cap Lamps using various technologies complement and enable Roobuck’s Mining IoT Solutions. Our core model incorporates WiFi and BLE together with RFID and NFC. For additional functionality DSRC, UWB, LTE, LoRa and multiple Proprietary 3rd party WiFi Tags can be integrated into our suite of IoT Devices.
Scalable WiFi Network Solution designed for Underground Mining
Winner of the 2021 Chief Scientist of NSW Physical Sciences Fund, Roobuck and the University of Sydney are collaborating to release a Long Range High Data Rate WiFi system. This innovative technology enables a high data rate WiFi system at long distances where terminal devices are unaware of each other, solving the hidden node problem faced by conventional WiFi systems. This allows for a dramatic reduction in data collisions, and an efficient bandwidth distribution to terminal devices at different distances to the AP.
Our Long Range WiFi AP is compatible with conventional WiFi devices and networks. This technology will enable the acceleration of mine digitalisation, allowing for the deployment of solutions that improve miner safety, enable operations automation and support mines achieving their ESG targets. Most notably, Roobuck is a recipient of the 2024 Go-Green Co-Innovation Program (GGCIP), a key initiative of the Singapore-Australia Green Economy Agreement.
